Job description:

We are seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join our team, with the ideal candidate being equally comfortable operating at a strategic and tactical level. This role requires an experienced professional who can effectively manage a wide range of HR tasks, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance. The HR Generalist will play a key role in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with organizational goals, comply with legal standards, and importantly provide the framework to embed the culture we’re looking to create and sustain at enza.  

Key responsibilities:

– Recruitment and Staffing: Oversea the recruitment process from job posting to hiring, ensuring a smooth and efficient candidate experience. Where required, conduct interviews, coordinate hiring efforts with departmental managers, and create the framework to oversee the onboarding of new hires.

– Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, offering guidance and support. Address workplace issues effectively and foster a positive working environment.  Create and roll-out the Policy framework needed as the enza business scales.

– Performance Management: Assist in developing and implementing new performance review procedures, shaping the company competency and behaviours framework, and working with the leadership team to refresh the enza Values. Facilitate and monitor performance evaluation processes, providing training and support to managers and staff to ensure constructive feedback and career development.

– Compensation and Benefits: Administer employee compensation, benefits, and retirement programs. Ensure that compensation packages remain competitive and compliant with legal requirements, whilst also creating long-term commitment to enza through the use of tools such as the Employee Share Ownership Plan.

– Training and Development: Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various HR topics, including new policies, diversity and inclusion, and leadership skills.  Work with the leadership team to create a Career Development framework specific to the largest functional teams operating at enza.

– Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour legislation and ensure organizational adherence to these laws in the multiple jurisdictions where enza has operating companies and/or employees.  Prepare reports and documentation required for regulatory compliance.

– HR Administration: Manage HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Oversee the processing of employee documentation, including contracts, leave applications, and benefits paperwork.

– Project Management: Lead or oversee the development of HR projects, such as wellness initiatives, reward programs, or organizational restructuring.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in human resources and/or an equivalent professional qualification such from organisations such as the CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI

– Minimum of 8 years of experience operating in the human resources field fulfilling an equivalent generalist role

– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization

– Strong organizational and time-management abilities
