enza celebrates Ghana launch

Last night marked an important milestone for enza as we officially celebrated our arrival in Ghana – following our recent award of a Payment Service Provider Enhanced (PSP Enhanced) licence by the Bank of Ghana.

The licence represents an important step in enza’s journey in Ghana, enabling us to operate within the country’s regulated payments ecosystem and work directly with financial institutions and fintechs as we build our presence in the market.

Bringing together an exceptional group of leaders from across Ghana’s banking, payments and fintech ecosystem, the evening provided an opportunity to introduce enza to the market, build new relationships and begin conversations about the opportunities ahead.

We were honoured to welcome such an array of distinguished guests. The calibre of the room reflected the depth of Ghana’s financial services ecosystem — and the scale of the opportunity ahead.

Ghana has established itself as an important financial and technology hub within West Africa, with a financial services sector that continues to evolve alongside changing customer expectations, new technologies and an increasingly connected digital economy.

For enza, entering Ghana represents more than simply expanding into a new market.

Our PSP Enhanced licence provides the regulatory foundation from which we can build meaningful partnerships and deliver our payment technology and financial services infrastructure to the Ghanaian market.

But regulation is only one part of the opportunity.

We believe the most meaningful progress comes through collaboration — working alongside the banks, fintechs, payment networks and other institutions that understand the market, its opportunities and its challenges.

Last night’s event provided an opportunity to begin those conversations and to listen to the perspectives of many of the people helping shape Ghana’s financial services landscape.

Events such as last night’s launch are ultimately about more than introductions.

They are about creating the foundations for meaningful, long-term relationships.

The conversations throughout the evening covered a broad range of perspectives on the evolution of financial services, the opportunities created by technology and the importance of building solutions that can meet the changing needs of businesses and consumers.

We were particularly pleased to have the opportunity to connect with so many of the people and organisations at the heart of Ghana’s financial ecosystem.

The calibre of those in attendance was a powerful reflection of the market we are entering — sophisticated, ambitious and increasingly focused on what comes next.

Our arrival in Ghana, supported by our newly awarded PSP Enhanced licence, is an important step in enza’s wider journey across Africa.

We believe the continent represents an extraordinary opportunity for innovation in financial services, and Ghana is an important part of that story.

Our ambition is to build lasting partnerships and contribute our expertise to an ecosystem that is already moving forward at pace — helping banks, fintechs and other financial institutions deliver simpler, more connected and innovative payment experiences.

Last night was a celebration of that ambition — but it was also the beginning of something much bigger.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us, shared their perspectives and helped make the evening such a memorable occasion.

Ghana, we’re delighted to be here. And this is just the beginning.
